Infection Control Wash
Infection Control Wash
Step into the future of biosecurity and site access management with our innovative Infection Control Wash (ICW) system. Designed to meet the demanding needs of agricultural and commercial sites, this advanced Infection Control Wash empowers site managers to automate biosecurity measures while maintaining efficient vehicle access control.
Whether you operate in farming or another sector requiring stringent biosecurity protocols, the Weaving Infection Control Wash is the ideal solution for optimal protection.
For poultry farms in particular—where the threat of avian influenza and other infectious diseases is an ever-present risk—the Weaving Infection Control Wash provides an essential first line of defence, helping safeguard flocks and protect business continuity.
The Infection Control Wash system features a robust galvanised wash pit spanning a generous 5-metre working width, flanked by two galvanised wheel wash stands. Each stand is equipped with spray nozzles ensuring a comprehensive tyre and chassis wash that effectively eliminates contaminants. With automated disinfectant dosage delivered under 9 bar of pressure, the system guarantees a thorough sanitisation process.
Every Infection Control Wash system includes an integrated wash-down hose and dirty water collection pit with return pump that can be connected to existing drainage or a soakaway. The wash stands can be supplied by mains water or IBCs and are designed for minimal water consumption, ensuring an environmentally friendly and cost-efficient operation.
By installing the ICW system at key access points, poultry farms can strengthen their biosecurity strategy, minimising the risk of avian influenza outbreaks and supporting compliance with industry standards and government guidelines.
How it works
As vehicles approach the Infection Control Wash, a directional sensor loop activation system signals wash initiation with no lag between uses. The control panel is housed in a thermostatically heated cabinet, ensuring protection from the elements. The 24V electric controls can be connected to mains electricity or installed alongside a solar operation panel, offering flexible and sustainable power solutions.
Access Control Options
The Infection Control Wash is designed to effectively slow site traffic, but for added security, the system can also be equipped with an optional automatic barrier or one of our sliding gates for controlled site access. The Infection Control Wash can be further complemented by traffic light controls to streamline vehicle flow.
Installation and Support
Full installation, servicing, and backup are provided directly by Weaving Machinery. The Infection Control Wash can be integrated into a new concrete pad or fitted onto existing concrete with access ramps.

Infection Control Wash Key Features
Secure & Insulated Control Cabinet
The cabinet of the Infection Control Wash houses all pumping and control equipment, including a thermostatically controlled heater, tank with ball valve, pumps for spray and collection, the dosage system, and the disinfectant.
Precision Dosing System
The Infection Control Wash uses a MixRite pump to ensure precise disinfectant injection directly into the clean wash water, with adjustable flow rates, feed ratios, and different pressure ranges. The MixRite pump is extremely durable and manufactured to withstand the rigours of outdoor conditions.
Spray Nozzles
The Infection Control Wash uses jet spray nozzles embedded into the side panels to ensure complete coverage of vehicles.
Collection Tray
The Infection Control Wash is manufactured from galvanised steel with a 100mm-deep water collection tray that stores and discharges dirty water through a pump to the site’s dirty water system. The grid is made up of reinforced fibreglass and split into six sections, making them easy to remove for tray cleaning. Across the width of the tray, 80° flat fan nozzles are arranged to provide full and even coverage of vehicle undersides.
Access Control Automated Barrier
The addition of an automatic barrier to the Infection Control Wash is designed to deliberately slow down all site traffic and ensure vehicles are treated with the correct amount of disinfectant.
Directional Loop
The infection control wash system features a directional loop for precise and reliable activation. Designed to distinguish between vehicles and pedestrians, the loop ensures the wash only operates when required, improving safety and efficiency. Its dual-direction capability allows you to configure activation in one direction or both, giving full flexibility to suit your site layout and traffic flow. You are able to set activation areas to trigger the wash only when passing through the specified area.
Traffic Light Vehicle Control
An effective method for signalling site traffic, the Infection Control Wash can be fitted with a red and green LED traffic light as an optional extra. The system offers low energy consumption and an average lifespan ten times greater than that of a standard lamp.
