Feed Quality
To produce high-quality basic feed, all the steps in the feed production process are important. When loading into the mobile silo, uniform spreading and precise compaction are important. Here, the use of the wrong technology often causes the accidental ingress of air which causes the formation of yeast & fungal moulds. This causes the silage to reheat which in turn causes losses in the quantity of feed. Through smooth and accurate cutting at the silo, oxygen cannot enter and this prevents accidental fermentation.
Welded Knife
The welded cutting blade made of Hardox steel delivers many advantages. The geometry of the blade is an essential feature for the cutting characteristics. With the SILO CAT, the aggressively shaped, pointed tines enable the feed to be pierced right through precisely. Together with the ingenious bucket design of the silage shear grab, the carrier vehicle only requires a low operating pressure to cut through and separate the block. The Hardox steel used for the cutter can cope with any level of strain and guarantees ultimate quality for many years.
High Quality Construction
The double-walled design of the shear grab prevent distortion during the loading process. The powder-coated frame and the welded cutter made of Hardox steel help the silage shear grab to retain its value for many years.
Mounting Pins
The Mammut Silo Cat silage shear grabs were developed for the very highest of load ratings – and their ingenious design lives up to what it promises: generously proportioned pin diameters of 60 mm Ø as well as a wear-resistant plastic plate on the main mounting guaranteeing a long service life for the machine.
Warranty
Our range of Silage Grabs come as standard with a 3-year warranty period. This applies to the whole machine excluding wearing parts such as the paint and tines.

Maize/Grain Bottom Plates

The tines of the silo cat can be covered with a floor plate to prevent the loss of fine graned feed. A choice of hydraulically operated or manual is available.
